like why did they have to make school harder for kids and make a fail so they would have to repeat a grade

Oh my God... school is easy in the United States. Trust me, I went to school in another country (Mexico) and the curriculum is much harder. In America the teachers basically spoon-feed you everything.
Everyone can't pass, because the purpose would be defeated. You're trying to achieve a certain standard made by the state. It's not too hard. Anyone who doesn't reach that certain percentage (generally 60%) doesn't pass, and that's it.

Because they need to know the material! If they dont know it, they will FAIL college (or might not even get into one!) or they might never get a job... I hate school to, but I would never drop out becasue I wanna have a good life and job!

Gurl, iz u serious? Fail grade means you dont kno how to do a certain garde that u need to kno how to do before u are able to graduate fron high skoo or college. I hope u get it!

for me in Fairfax county, VA, 63% is an F, and 64% is a D
