they could but you should try blasting it out with a firecracker first whatever doesnt get blown out can be cleaned out with the hanger putting a small hookbend on the end works best

Make sure you bend them in a spiral then wrap cotton strips around and through the spiral, don't use polyester , doesn't work well. Fill the center of the spiral with cotton balls and screw it in. It will last almost all day.

Make sure you have a large enough loop in it to help it all out. You may want to think about slicing it too. Smaller chunks may come out easier then the whole enchilada. Sorry couldn't help it.
