I would guess so because otherwise I think they would have you sign a consent or refusal at the time a contract is signed. I read that is how they located the family lost in Oregon so if they want to ping me, I have no problem with that. It might save my life someday.

"Pinging" is the least of your worries - if you're worried. Most late model cell phones include GPS capabilities, by law, and they can pinpoint your location within a matter of square feet.
