1930 was the last year that the "Standing Liberty" quarter was minted, and 1932 was the first year for the "George Washington" quarter. (1932 was the 200th anniversary of George Washington's birth, and originally the quarter was intended to be minted for that year only, but then it was decided to continue the design.) But no U.S. quarters were minted in 1931.
