I've just entered into a contest that i REALLY want to win. (it's a piano competition) The prize is something that i really need, a recording piano, and quite honestly, i deserve it. Seeing as it's an online contest, and a video determines who wins, i was wondering if anyone out there knew how to make a good impression with videos...
here's what i have so far:

introduce myself
state intentions
dress nicely
practice until i do it right...

any more ideas?
Thanks!

Position your camera on a non moving base, like a tripod. Film it during the day, like at 3:00 in the afternoon. If you know that you look better from one specific side of yourself, then adjust the camera to that side. The camera should show at least your upper torso, for two reasons. The first is so that they can see your fingers play. If you can captivate them with your fingers, they will want to associate your fingers with a face. Practice before hand, and above all, know your piece. Good Luck.
