By "young", I'm going to say 25 and under. (I'm 32.)

Do y'all expect to be married when you're older?

Do you want to be married?

Do you think it will be legal?

And do you think you can invite your relatives?

I'm just curious.

Yes, I expect to be married, that one day it will be legal, not some lame civil union, but full marriage rights. Yes I will have my family there and my partner's family too. Before you ask, there will be a kick a** recpetion too, and you just know any gay wedding is going to be way better than some tacky affair in the church basement.

Well I'm 24 so I just make it in. Having come out three years ago and the changes in attitude that have been made to gays and lesbians - yes to all.

I don't expect to be married. I think it depends on if I find the one I love. Which I have. We have talked about it and she says one day - not sure when that will be.

I would love to be married to her.

It may not be legal by the time I get around to it but I believe that those up and coming troopers will have the chance. I'd be happy having a committment ceremony and having the same laws as a hetro couple. If I have to get married to have the same laws then so be it.

I will invite my relatives who have been with me throughout the time. There is no way dad's family is coming because we have always been the black sheep in their family. It doesn't leave much family to invite but it'll make it cheaper hehe.

Do y'all expect to be married when you're older? My girlfriend really wanted to(2.4 kids and happy ever after ending thrown in), but I've always been against marriage (What's the point of it if we break up/Just an excuse to be centre of attention for a day/bloody stressful/my parents separated when I was 4 etc etc).

Do you want to be married? No, but I liked the idea of having a conjoining ceremony like the video for Helena by MCR (I'd wear the dress, no idea what gf would wear). Gf wasn't so keen, however.

Do you think it will be legal? I think homosexual marriage already is legal in the UK, but am not sure...

And do you think you can invite your relatives? I can't invite Dad, my brother, my aunts and uncles and cousins (I told one, but it's not fair if she goes along and doesn't have family there too IMO). Nana I'm not sure about because she's very old-fashioned, but Mum's cool with it

I'm a 20 year-old bisexual female, and I do hope that I'll be married when I'm older! I definitely want to be; I'm a traditional girl, and I want to follow in my parents' footsteps and have a loving, long-lasting, committed relationship with kids and everything- the whole kit 'n' kaboodle. Do I think it will be legal? Well, if I marry a man, I suspect it will be. If I wanted to marry a woman, then no, I don't think it will be legal. I have high hopes, but I think it's still going to take time to get things right on track. I might get a civil union, but it really depends on where I'm living and how the future goes, in terms of political events. I like to think I could invite my relatives, but I'm not really sure. I think my immediate family would be okay with it, given some time, especially my father and brother (my mom, maybe not so much).

Hope that helps!

Lesbian,22

I expect to get married when I'm older if I find that special lady that I can't live without and who can't live without me.

I actually do want to get married, yes. I'm the type of person who never sleeps around and beleives in true love and relationships, so marriage is definitely for me.

I think civil unions or domestic partnerships may be available in more states, but not all states. And gay marriage will definitely not be happening. But that's only by the time I get married, which will be sometime in the next 5-10 years. But I believe gay marriage will eventually be legal, maybe within the next 20 years. Also, a lot of people don't know that they can make it legal themselves by going to courthouses, drawing up documents, and getting things notarized. There's a way around eveything!

I will definitely invite all my family and friends. I believe a lot of them will come because they know I am gay and seem to have no problem with it. If they come, that's great. If they don't,they can kiss my a**!

i don;t know if i expect to be married, but i am certainly hopeful! wouldn't it be a great thing if our Nation could once again change for the better to accept people who aren't really that different? I truly can not say whether i expect that these things will ahppen, but hope is good and rigth now it is mostly what we have to rely on.
Being my typical contradictory self, i realized that i just said something false i don't think that it will be legal unless the country makes a big change because it is now a part of the constitution that "marriage is anly between a man and a woman" so unless we amend the constitution (which is, admittedly, what it's for) then i doubt it will happen. If, though, gay marriage does become legal and and i find the perfect guy for me then i will feel completely comfortable and extremely grateful to invite everyone i know, not only my realtives. you can even come if you want!

Honestly, I don't have a clue for any of those. I'm taking each day as it comes. I have come out to my parents, and they have been relatively (no pun intended) supportive; I'm not too afraid of inviting my relatives - if they want to come, they are more than welcome, but if they don't, that's their right also. As to whether it will be legal, I hope civil unions will be legal, anyway, even if it's not called "marriage". I don't have a problem if a priest doesn't want to marry myself and my partner (if my partner happens to be the same sex as I) - that's his right not to accept that ceremony. Probably won't get married in a church anyway, but hey. :-)

Interesting question. (b'.')b

Well i'm 24 and a gay male, and here is my opinion.

I suspect I will be involved in a marriage like long term relationship yes.

I on a personal level do not think that marriage is a institution that want to be apart of.

I suspect that at some point in my lifetime that it will be legal in many if not all states in the US.

I expect to be married with loads of children.

I do indeed want to be married.

Of course it will be legal, I'm not going to marry a girl.

Yes, I'll invite family and friends.

Lesbian and I'm 18.

Yes I expect to be married

Yes I want to be married

Yes I think it should be legal

I can invite my mom's whole family, but there is no way my dad's would even consider coming.

Hope this satisfies your curiosity.
