Well I have lived with HPV for about 3 years now and at first I thought omg who will ever want a woman with 2 kids and HPV. Well since then I have had 2 more kids, divorced the ****** that gave it to me and am re-married to the greatest man I have ever met. Just don't dwell on it.However about a year ago my pelvic/pap smear test came back abnormal and I totally freaked.(due to the HPV) I thought for sure it was cancer and I was gonna die. But every thing came back normal after I had a biopsy done and about 6 weeks of complete hair pulling stress. You just take it one day at a time. Your life is not over, but remember to be honest with your partners. I don't know how serious your case is but you may develop warts but those can be removed with a special kind of acid like stuff that your doctor can apply to them. It burns a little but it takes them away in about a day or 2. I had one out break back in 2004 and haven't had one since. It'll be okay and there are support sites you can go to also. Good luck sweetie, and God Bless You. Happy Holidays. OH and also, no matter what people say, It does NOT go away completely. You will always carry the HPV virus.

There is nothing you can do about the type of HPV you have now as far as getting rid of it completely...but there is a new vaccination out there that helps fight against other HPV's that can cause cervical cancer! ask your doctor for this vaccination if you are under 25...just because you have one form of HPV you can still get the other ones that could be more dangerous! so get the shot!!!

Sounds like lame words---but it's NOT the end of the world. Get under a doctors care. Do everything they tell you to do. I thought it would NEVER go away....it took about 6 months or so---but it did go away. Good luck.
