The amount of money doesn't matter, of course. What matters is the love he is showing for you.

It is normal to feel uncomfortable after someone, who you do not know for long, gives you an expensive gift. Especially if you have spent at least half of it. My advice is stop thinking about it. You will be much happier when you receive this gift if you don't think about it then if you start thinking it's an engagement ring (or something else) and it turns out not to be what you were expecting. Just enjoy the anticipation and be glad that you have someone who can spend that much money on you. Merry Christmas.

I would venture to guess some kind of expensive jewelry (a ring perhaps) or a vacation.
Digital cameras are not that expensive and laptops are not that cheap.
