From age 1-10, I guess I was cute, but not pretty, you know? I was the girl that got all the grandmas to pinch my cheeks painfully. My hair was short and bangs to my forehead and I was short.

Then over the summer I got growth spurt, shot up a few inches, and my face changed. Now my hair is long and my face is more of a heart shape. Now instead of cute I am hot! If I may use that word!

Wow I feel like i'm going to tell you like a memoir or something..

I may only be 17 but growing up and being considered pretty but never called beautiful and having the gorgeous smart boy magnet older sister who is now 23 and scored an awesome guy I feel like recently that my self esteem has grown much and I see myself older and much more womanly. I spend alot of my time volunteering and working with a Jr. high bible study and these women that i'm around all the time are the most beautiful women/mothers/leaders/people that i have ever seen. I can only hope that as I grow older I can grow in beauty know that I am beautiful in God's eyes even if the magizine tells me my theighs are too big and Mr. Wonderful would magically fall inlove with me if i was a size 4. Beauty has been marred by our society and I wish the young women understood that beauty comes from within and it shouldn't matter what the world says about us..

*takes deep breath* sorry that was suepr long

i don't know if I'm beautiful now, but I definitely went through an "ugly" phase... Around fifth grade I was too wide compared to how short I was, my teeth were all in funny angles, my eyebrows were in dire need of a good wax, I didn't wear makeup, which would probably only make me look worse, my eyes were droopy, I didn't really have a sense of style, and I didn't do anything to my hair, which was really kind of frizzy. But now I kind of think I fixed some of that stuff, and I think I look alright. I could be happy if I lost like 20 lbs, but I think I look decent most of the time.
Oh, and one of my really good friends is the cutest doll in the world, and she's 16 now. But if you look at her old pictures, you could totally tell she's the same person, but she was definitely a "not too cute" duckling. and now she's gorgeous. hands down. the cutest natural blonde I know, inside and out. And you know, cute kids don't typically make beautiful teens/adults. I personally think it's better going through your ugly phase as a child, rather than face it when you grow up.

Well, when I was younger, I never considered myself pretty...just average. I'm 13, but I think I'm average to above average. :) I'm still growing...we'll see.

Edit: I added highlights to my hair, I got my eyebrows done (my eyebrows were a weird shape before), I took better care of my hygene (showering, brushing teeth, flossing, mouth wash, lotion, face washing), and wear makeup such as mascara, eyeliner, and lip gloss now. I also wear my hair up, which looks better. Best of all, I got my braces off, and now my teeth are pretty straight!

In the morning I love how I look, I think I'm beautiful, but at night I think I look kinda...bleh. I don't know why that is, but I always look much better in the morning.

well, honestly, looking back now, i was pretty in high school. only thing i thought i was ugly. so when i got out i gained alot of weight and started smoking. no, i guess i don't look so hot. however people say otherwise. i just never believe them. growing up in an abusive family does that to one self esteem. i'm working on it. it is taking close to 3years for me to start seeing i too am gorgeous inside and out!

i wouldn't say i was inspirational in any way....but i used to be really shy in school, and then i got into theatre and got thinking a lot about my life and now i'm not shy at all! i would say i'm a downright loudmouth at times!

and then there was a time when i was really tall and skinny and flat until i was about 15-16....and then i was in a musical when i was 16 where we had to wear these bra things, and eeeeeeeverybody noticed how i wasn't so flat anymore!
