I think its definitely spiritual/karmic. Not an astrologer (sorry!). Can be due to past life karmic experience/ memory. Also due to spiritual tendency, you feel a tug towards India (which is tyag bhoomi- land of sacrife) as against USA(bhog bhoomi - land of enjoyment; bhog= enjoyment, bhoomi = land, tyag = sacrifice in Indian language). This should be viewed on a higher level than just the physical level. Maybe it can be called astral level. Anyway, it is for you to decide what you want to do - free will also comes into play here and a conscious decision is better than just an unconscious enactment as per planetary compulsions (astrology/horoscopes).
