Are Bush and Blair doing Bin Laden’s work for him?

We’re told Bin Laden hates our freedoms, wants to force a holy war between the west & Islam, wants us to live in fear, wants maximum publicity and wants Muslims to see the west as evil and Godless.

So how do Bush & Blair (B&B) respond to Bin Laden (UBL)?

1. UBL hates our freedoms - So B&B strip our freedoms and liberties

2. UBL wants conflict between Islam and the West - B&B respond by waging several illegal wars against Muslim nations.

3. UBL wants us to live in constant fear - B&B tell us non stop that we’re going to be attacked again & terrorists will get us.

4. UBL wants media coverage for Al Qaeda - B&B go on the media every day and big-up Al Qaeda and their expertise, deadliness & ability to outwit our intelligence services.

5. UBL wants all Muslims to see us as evil, immoral fascists - B&B react by ignoring the Geneva Convention, using torture, cluster bombing children and stealing oil

Have B&B totally screwed-up here?

Dee - I'm clearly not excusing the people that commit terrorism here. I'm simply questioning whether our leaders have reacted to terrorism in a way that only serves to further the terrorists goals.

This isn't a black and white issue, where people are either 100% good or 100% bad. Don't let your prejudice blind you to the reality of the bad policy that is being pushed through.

B&B have actually killed hundreds of thousands of women & children in Iraq & Afghanistan. But my point wasn't to say that B&B have replicated every bad move of UBL

My point is this. If terrorists hate our freedom, then we should defy them by staying free. If they want media air time and publicity, we must ignore them. If they want to spread fear, we should mock them and show no fear. If they want to claim we're evil, we must show the world we're compasionate and good.

We mustn't let pathetic cowardly scum terrorists change us, scare us or divide us. Otherwise we're doomed

that's exactly what there doing they are creating the threats so we get scared and they take our power and liberty's so it makes us think that there protecting us. i personally think that bin laden is in the same boat as bush and Blair . there is a big reward on bin ladens head and in that part of the world where bin laden suppose to be in is full of bandits and crooks unless he is getting some kind of Pakistanis government protection he would have got caught by now. and the Pakistanis are controlled by the USA. it all stinks .

This is a propaganda war as visualised by George Orwell in his book 1984. The point is that government is of no consequence if it does not have direct control over people.

Therefore the worst Prime Minster you can have is an attention seeking control freak, which is what Blair is.

That is why there are so many new rules and regulations and laws since hes been in than at any other time in the history of the human race. And although that sounds far fetched, I do like to say things like that so that people are surprised that something so far fetched can be so accurate when they get to evaluate it properly.

Bush and Blair with their entourages have created more opportunities for terrorism and it only going to get more interesting to see how the next four to seven years go. All your points are valid. Screwed up is just putting it very mildly. Aside, watching "American Dreamz" was funny...but isn't it true that the media the west provides also gives out all the directions to make jihad easy. I agree with your points but think that there is a larger more scary reality than the normal UK or USA citizen can comprehend. Great question!
