vehicular manslaughter 3 counts is a possibility Murder no way that requires intent and it will be impossible to prove the driver intended for his 3 friends to die Impaired driving or DUI causing death 3 counts or the equivalent is likely as is Criminal Negligence Causing Death 3 counts i live in Canada so the terminology might not be familiar a high profile incident was just settled up in Ottawa a guy was drunk driving doing doughnuts in a pickup with a buddy in the box who fell out and was dragged to death or crushed the guilty party got 3 years in prison and 7 years loss of license the guilty party was the son of a former Premier of Newfoundland his victim was also drunk at the time but the victim chose to be a passenger to a drunk driver chose to get in the box of a pickup driven by a drunk chose not to report a drunk driver so the victim bears some responsibility for his bad decisions all 3 victims in your case chose to be there and chose not to report a drunk driver so that should reduce any sentence in comparison to the drunk running over a grandmother and 2 grandchildren in a crosswalk a much greater degree of trouble could fall on the shoulders of the adult who provided the alcohol because he could have prevented all the deaths by simply obeying the law
