From a mixed-race couple which the woman is over 40 could be under risk from having a Drown baby, yes or no ?

i think your worrying unnecessarily!!the mixed race has nothing specific to assess and women are having babies 10 years and more past 40 so whats the problem?

The fact that the mother is over 40 is the risk factor for Down's Syndrome, not the mixed race.

I don't think the mixed race part has anything to do with it, but a woman over 40 certainly has in ncreased of having a baby with Downs Syndrome.

If you do not want to take the chance you could always adopt...

Yes. The risk of having a baby with Downs Syndrome increases dramatically the older you become.

There are DNA tests that can be done on the amniotic fluid, should ask your obs to look at performing, amniocentesis or CKS (I think). y wife got the former done to have the information to decide what to do.
