Saw the latest Bond movie. Miss the gadgets but still good. Don't know if I agree with those calling it the greatest Bond movie yet though. Maybe the stripping away of gadgets was a response to criticism of the more far-fetched ones in Die Another Day, but I think they went too far in the opposite direction here. The collapsing building at the end is a nice touch though, as are the fight scenes and I really felt his pain in the chair torture scene....Good but not the best which I consider "The World is not Enough" to be. What about you?

First of all I would like to say that it is a brilliant movie. I wouldn't go as far as saying it was the "best bond film ever" but it up there.

My favorite bond was Brosnan. To tell you the truth, I was upset when I found out that Craig was james bond. But after watching the film, I don't think I have a favorite bond anymore. Craig was perfect for the film and i don't think that anyone could have done a better job.

Craig did an amazing job as James Bond. He was so gritty and the one-liners were awesome and so well delivered. I truly think that it's hard to say that Daniel Craig was the best bond because he created his "own" bond. The bond in casino royale was a totally different bond compared to the other films. Bond had emotion, he was human, it was possible to hurt him....
Craig played a darker, more rough james bond (similar to connery).

The movie did a great job showing how bond was a cocky young spy in the beginning and you could see how he matured throughout the film. I think that the film gives you a great sense of why james bond is the way he is.

They went in the opposite direction because it was James bond's first mission. The mission itself was small, it wasn't "I'm going to take over the whole world type plot". It was more of a bad guy who is just trying to save his own skin.

I guess I did miss all of the hgh-tech gadgets but I do agree that Die another Day had gadgets that were too far-fetched (invisible car? cool... but unrealistic)

I like all of the fight scenes in the movie and I thought the first fight scene made great use of daniel craig, showing the audience that this is James bond when you was young, able to do all of this altheltic scences. I thought it was funny that James Bond had trouble catching up to the bombmaker though, he wasn't as smooth as the bombmaker, falling and jumping crane to crane with a hard (probably painful) landing.

The torture scene....I have to say, was one of the best torture scence I have seen. (the World is not Enough's tortue scene was good too) It was very funny and I loved his defient attitude.

My major issue with the movie is not that it is long (which a lot of people have said that it was about 25 minutes too long) but that there was a lot of climaxes in the story. Just when you think that the movie was over, something else would happen. I thought that this kind of destroyed the movie's flow.

Overall it was a great movie, I can't wait for "Bond 22"

It's a toss up, but I think he's (Craig) is the best Bond since Roger Moore (though I like Connery better).

Royale was, indeed, the best Bond film to come out in decades. The raw grittiness that Craig added to the character was refreshing and he made Bond real. The lack of gadgets (and Q) was also a good call. I think a lot of the nay-sayers will actually appreciate what Craig did for the franchise and I forsee it growing because of this reboot.

i thought it was really good, although it was a bit slow in some places. i agree that there weren't enough gadgets. the closest thing to a gadget he had was that gun with the silencer and that thing that made his heart start. i thought the first big fight scene was good though. i think that it's been dubbed the best bond movie ever because it's new.

If it wasn't the best one, it certainly was in the top 3! I dug the fact that the gadgets, while cool, were still quite plausible (like the portable defiblirator). And it was nice seeing Bond get his butt kicked and not get the girl at the end of the movie. Great movie!

What sets bond apartfrom other movies is the style and the gadgetry that used to be shown in the movies. This movie totally lacked it.On the other hand you can say that this being the first in the series of the book...bond is shown as crude and not that flashy.May be that will happen in the movies to come

Well I saw it recently with my boyfriend. He is a huge Bond fan. He loved it alot! I liked it but did not love it. Yes, there was a lot of action and I did like to see how things started so to speak. But with Craige I did not feel the passion so to speak. Well, I did prefer Die another Day.

Bad! He needs to retired and start a new Bond franchise with James Bond Jr as the new 007.

it was one of the best movies. it finally went back to want bond used to be and got rid bond running out in the open surroned by 100 bad guys with guns and killing them all. the gadgets were a big part of the first few bonds. this kind of movie is the reason we still have james bond today.

i am not ashamed to say that i watched this.... and liked it. which is more than i can say for most recent bond flicks. you know, you watch them, but you dont dare admit you liked it. they have been so corny/campy... but this one isnt. it isnt over the top, though there are some action scenes that are awesome. and craig did a great job.
