Solve the following inequality and express the soultion in interval notation.

x^2 + 3x - 10 < 0

x^2 +3x -10<0
(x+5)(x-2)<0
x+5<0 x-2<0
x=-5 x=2

x^2 + 3x - 10 < 0
<=> (x - 2) (x + 5) < 0
<=> -5 < x < 2

3² - 4ac
9 - 4.1.-10
9 + 40 = 49
x' = (-3 +/-\/49) : 2
x' = (-3 + 7) : 2 < 2
x" = (-3 - 7) : 2 < -5

Solution: {x E R | -5 < x < 2}
