I've kinda asked this before, but the question moves down really fast, so most people can't really answer unless they see the next page. anyway, I've had alot jeans like aeropostale and abercrombie and I thought it'd be fun to make my own pair like that. I'll buy a cheap pair of jeans with some dye markings and whatever, but put the holes in myself. But my main question is whether or not the yellowish-gold (I'm a guy) thread covering the holes are put there after the hole is made and if they're hand or machine sewed. I also need to know how to keep the jeans from eventually tearing apart too much, because I want to actually wear them sometimes (duh.)

Turn the jeans inside out to sew them, that way any puckering is on the inside. Using a sewing machine usually provides much stronger stitches that last much longer than hand made stitches. You do need to use a good quality thread also. If you go to a fabric store and ask the people that work there which thread is best for stitching holes in jeans, they will be more than happy to help. I do know that Coats & Clark is extremly good quality, but I'm not sure if it's right for jeans. Good Luck!

Theres plenty of things

* patches

* if you want the rip and tear look ( with the little dinge rips at the end .. just through it in the dry a couple of times with out softner)

* take an old bandana or piece of cloth and a small cheap sewing kit and got for it

* take Clorox bleach pen, and go crazy with it. It daring and has some good outcomes

* Try letting them dry on a hanger or a line. It doesnt Dinge them so much , dinging(drying them in the dryer) causes stress on the jeans, which wears them out..

glad i can help if i did. ;-)

if im right all those other ppl think ur asking how to cover holes xpt ur asking how to make them. if your asking how to get holes in them...try a cheese-grater or sandpaper. go with the lines in the jeans untill you see some white. then wash and dry it a few times and itll b all frayed up!
