festivus - According to Seinfeld, Festivus is celebrated each year on December 23, but many people celebrate it other times, often in early December. Its slogan is "A Festivus for the rest of us!!" An aluminum pole is generally used in lieu of a Christmas tree or other holiday decoration, shedding holiday materialism. Those attending participate in the "Airing of Grievances" in which each person tells each and everyone else all the ways they've disappointed him/her over the past year, and after a Festivus dinner, the "Feats of Strength" are performed. Traditionally, Festivus is not over until the head of the household is wrestled to the floor and pinned.

hi!, Jeannie Kathleen,.....i'm merely answering by using fact i haven't talked to you in a protracted time. i've got study the solutions already gained, and that i've got little to characteristic. in part of fact, India is predominantly Hindu, or maybe with the undeniable fact that there are different religions, the Christians are very definitely interior the minority. possibly because of this fact the Christians there have fun Christmas with extra of the real which potential the trip is meant to inspire. Commercialism exists, of direction, human nature is conventional, however the income purpose is way less obvious by using fact it is not economically sound. I even have discovered this real in different areas of the international the place Christ's dictate to love one yet another is plenty extra obvious between His followers by using fact of isolation, prejudice, or persecution. i locate it the two ironic and unhappy that the real which potential of Christmas has extra beneficial importance in predominantly non-Christian international locations. i did no longer understand you lived in Japan, yet in spite of your faith, I desire you and yours the standard desire of all of mankind: peace and excitement.

all. yes, all. better by the dozens. i wish all holidays were celebrated...by all people on this planet. it is nice to have all holy days...and no "work" days. it is fun. let me re-iterate the word "celebrate" -- to remember is a better word. because celebrations are really remembering the first incident that happened years and years ago. whatever that original incident was -- to sum up -- i light candles, toast "spirits" -- and i guess what you call Kwanzaa...we dance and sing. i do that too. hope it helps your spirit.
