I'll be alone for the hols and I don't care any more. Of course when the actual day comes around (24th or 25th) I'll probably feel kinda lonely, maybe even sniffle a bit, and will probably come on here and see who else is feeling kind of "abandoned" lol for lack of a better word. And of course there will undoubtedly be people on here xmas eve or xmas day whose many relatives are driving them crazy (must be a nice problem to have) and I'll be nice to them too lol.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who will be alone for the holidays and it's very sad to be alone on Christmas. I say a prayer for all the lonely people and ask the Lord to hold them close in his fold and to comfort them. I've spent a few Christmases alone off and on over the years. But I look forward to being with my family this year.

I'll be working & will be alone for the holidays in some hotel room. I don't think about it too much any more.. but I do wish I had a big family and could have a big ol' holiday bash with them all. You know, a big ol' "Nexus" moment like Picard's holiday moment in Star Trek Generations or preferably even bigger w/ more people.

Thanksgiving of 2002, I was all alone. It was also my birthday. I had just started dating a man but not long enough to be going to spend the time out of town visiting his family. It was my ex's year to have our daughter. My dad was out of town, and my mom didn't bother to invite me anywhere although the first year she and my dad were divorced, I changed my plans and took her out to dinner on Turkey Day. I went to the liquor store the day before and bought some wine. I heated up a TV dinner and spent the day on the sofa watching TV. I felt very, very, lonely. I am now married to the man I was dating at the time. He has custody of his kids, so now I get to have a full house for the holidays.

I'll be alone with my 13 1/2 yo kid. I don't want to get away from her. I'm very blessed that my life was spared & I'm able to celebrate one more Christmas with her.

My estranged cheating husband will be celebrating with his highly paid mistress.

not me, I'm not going to be along this year. I'm glad my husband is spending the holidays with me, and I would never want to get away from my husband because I love him with all of my heart.
