I live in Montana in the U.S.
Currently it's snowy and around 30F.
The harshest weather I've ever been in was in Missoula, Montana in the winter of 1988. I had to walk to work because my car wouldn't start (it was -40F) as I walked across the bridge over the Clarkfork River the wind coming out of Hellgate Canyon flash froze the water on the surface of my eyes.
I only had to walk about 1 mile to work. If it had been much further I don't think I would have made it, as I couldn't feel my legs by the time I got there.

Lake Winnepesaukee, New Hampshire. Today was in the 40's, cloudy with some morning rain. The harshest weather I've ever been in was during a blizzard in Philadelphia many years ago.
