I think 'Stille Nacht' (Silent Night) is my all-time favorite Christmas hymn, especially when done quietly. That's really the only way to do it, when you consider the song's history. A close second is 'Carol of the Bells'; the best renditions are by unaccompanied choir.
For more recent songs, my favorites are 'The Little Drummer Boy' as recorded by the Harry Simeone Chorale, and 'Gabriel's Message', a Basque carol recorded by Sting.
Of course, I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for Bing Crosby's 'White Christmas' and Nat 'King' Cole's 'Christmas Song'.

My favorite Christmas song is Away in a manger. I remember setting up my nativity scene and singing that song in nearly every school play for Christmas.

When I used to be very younger each Christmas on TV used to be The "Andy Williams Show" (I used to be madly in love with him while I used to be approximately 10) he used to sing "Winter Wonderland". But of direction I wouldn`t admit that to anybody now!

The Little Drummer Boy....just love it...don't know why, I just do....and yes, I remember listening to it on an "album" over and over when I was young and would just set in front of it listening to it and watching it spin as it played. It chokes me up to hear it the older I get. Nice memory, thanks for reminding me tonight!

"Mary Did You Know" Kenny Rogers and W. Judd
It makes me stop and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas.
