I go to a very prestigious private military prep high school. I have a 3.6 GPA; I’m on the school tennis team. I am also in the following club and organizations: Model UN, student admissions organization, green life, school news paper, and I am in a program called The School for the Entrepreneur. I also speak Spanish, French, and Korean. I would like to get a job with the government after college working with the CIA. I would also like to someday get into politics; I am also the class president. What college should I consider?

Given your background, your interests, and your goals, I would recommend the following:

Princeton
Yale
Harvard
Georgetown
Dartmouth
Amherst
Trinity (in CT)
Haverford

You may want to consider a major in political science, history, or area studies (Asian studies, European studies, etc.) and perhaps consider law school, or a graduate program in International Relations after college. The CIA recruits from the above undergraduate institutions, as well as from certain law schools and grad programs.

Best wishes to you.

West Point. I saw a poster for it in my high school and it sounded really interesting. If you really wanted a job with the CIA, that might look really good on a resume. Then again, you might be tired of military academies. However, I feel that if you have succeeded so well at yours...how can a college dedicated to it be any different? You would most likely all ready know your way around.

Your accomplishments are extensive... an ivy league school would be ideal for gaining future employment with the CIA, not to mention endless opportunities if that aspiration does not work out. Your choice of college is not the only criteria that potential employers look at, but it will most definitely be helpful. Research schools on-line and see which might be the best fit for you. Try www.princetonreview.com. That is a very good website for researching possible educational institutions. Good luck with your search!

Certainly the military academies are an option as are the Ivey's..but you might also consider Georgetown. Being in DC affords you lots of options and they have a very good foreign service major and many go on from there to work for the CIA.

Suggest you look at Georgetown, Princeton, any other of the top colleges/universities in the country that have programs/majors of interest to you. If you are interested in pursuing the military angle, West Point is an excellent idea.

Good luck! Sounds like you've worked hard. Keep it up! Our futures depend on you.

With politics, it's always best going to colleges that have political connections or have a lot of alums that are in politics.
With your credentials and experience, I think you can get into these colleges without any problems:
Georgetown, Case Western and West Point.

You might also want to consider the following:
Yale and Harvard.
