somewhere around 1986/87.
I can remember watching it with my nephew when he was little.
certainly not 1981, that's far too early.
mind you, wikipedia says it was 1st screened around 1981.

I think since 1980, I'm sure it was new when I watched it as a toddler. I still have some of my old "Buttons" toddlers comics and it has the lunchtime programme listings, Postman Pat was definately listed in a 1982 copy I have. Theres another favourite of mine in there too, Chock-a-Block! Theres a classic one that was never shown again! Or how about Stop! Go!? Memories!

since 1981 i think i used to love it.
postman pat postman pat postman pat and his black and white cat. early in the the morning just as day is dawning pat delivers ........ cant remember the rest.
