do a search online...there's probably a last census and/or guestimate of how many blacks there are in the US, as well as whites, hispanics, asians, etc...

I think I read Recenly about 17 percent of the population
but I find that figure a little too low

Just search on Google maybe

We make up only 2 to 3 percent of the country. As of 1992, 34.1 million.

All of them.
African-Canadians live in Canada.
African-Brazilians live in Brazil.

So, all of the African-Americans live in America. :-)

according to the U.S. census in 2004 it was 12.8% this seems very low but this percent was from people only reporting 1 race.
