homework, which isn't working.Posting files to a web page ,using ws_ftp. Can't acess site. is ftp in the way

web page assignment, posting files to it. prof. says ftp(which appeared in place of www) is the problem. how do i get rid of it? any ideas

in order to upload, you need to use a program like IPSWITCH WS_FTP.

Connect to ftp://thesite.com (usually) with your username and pass then upload the files to the appropriate directory.

Then go to your browser and look at the same place with http:// before the url instead of ftp://

Using FTP sends (or gets) the files of the website.Try using HTTP:// sitename.com
