I'm going to try tampons... awkward. x.x

But yes, I am going to try them.
I get how to use them, and I understand the dangers.
I'm asking a simple question: which should I use?

Playtex Gentle Glide
Playtex Portable
Tampax Pearl Plastic

One of those 3, please.

Also, can someone clear up the scented tampon myth? Is it really all that bad to use scented products for your period?

Is it safe to use a scented tampon? The fragrance in Tampax Pearl was developed specifically for use in tampons. It's been thoroughly tested to make sure it's safe to use. We also make unscented Pearl for those who prefer a fragrance-free tampon.

That was on tampax.com

So it is confirmed that scented tampons are no different.

The product reccommender also suggested Tampax Pearl.

So I went ahead and ordered some.

Thanks, everyone! ^^

Go ahead and try the Pearl Plastic. Personally, I never cared for the scented ones. I don't think they smell good at all. The most important thing to remember is - there is no product in the world that will "cover up" the odor of a woman's body fluids if she is not clean. As long as you keep yourself clean, especially during your period, you needn't worry about using scented products. I think this is just a marketing idea. Buy an inexpensive tub of baby wipes, put a small stack into a zip-lock bag, and keep it in your purse. Every time you go to the bathroom to "take care of business", give yourself a swipe with a wipe or two. This will keep you as fresh as you need to be. The other thing I strongly recommend is to become familiar with your "equipment". Using tampons for the first time can be challenging. Be prepared to throw a few away as you experiment. Get a good hand mirror and actually look at your "va-JJ" (Oprah's expression!) while you're inserting the tampon. Don't be embarrassed or ashamed. It's your body, and you should get to know it and the way it works!
Good luck, sweetie. In a very short amount of time, you will be a pro at this.

I use scented products and haven't experience any problems. Not entirely sure on that. However, on the other stuff, I suggest you use tampax pearl plastic. It's what I use and it's very easy for insertion. It costs a little more then other brands, but I've never had a problem with leakage. Use whatever size is fulfilling to your flow. If you have a heavier flow, the applicator and size of the actual tampon shouldn't be worried about. Tampons are made to expand to fit the size of your vagina. They easily come out as well. Just make sure to use the correct size for your flow.

If you are a first timer I suggest Tampax pearl plastic. It a really good tampon which offers alot of protection. And I'm not sure about the scented tampon myth but I think that it supposedly causes infection

Tampax Pearl are the best tampons to use. Especially if it is the first kind of tampon you are using. Some would agree and disagree.

I would reccommend a tampon with a cardboard, not a plastic applicator. Plastic has toxins that are absorbed by the sensitive vaginal wall, and it also is abrasive and can lead to toxic shock syndrome. The same with scented tampons. You really shouldn't use them at all, they don't serve any purpose, they don't work, and they can be toxic to your system. If you feel you want to smell better, apply a spray to the outside of your vagina, not the inside. Also, cotton especially organic cotton is best for the filler of the tampon. Bleach and dioxins in tampon filler is toxic. You run a higher risk later in life of developing cervical cancers. Tampons are great, don't get me wrong, please just be smart in your choices.

the two the U by using Kotex and the Tampax incorporate the clicking to open applicator the place you pull it aside. The U is in fluorescent packaging if I bear in suggestions so it is not precisely discrete if it incredibly is your purpose. The Tampax is the two pink, yellow, or eco-friendly. There are not many situations nevertheless the place in simple terms wearing the two on your hand is in simple terms no longer adequate to no longer flash around what you're wearing. i take advantage of the Pearl yet have not got any particular reasoning, so for you to probable in simple terms purchase a small kit of one and see the type you like it. in case you have days of heavier pass you may purchase a multi-kit for the two one that incorporates larger tampons or in simple terms be greater responsive to changing widely used tampons during the day.

Try and get a slim design too, to make it a easy as possible. Once you get over the awkward first few times they really are the better way to go - at least in my opinion!
And dont be affraid to ask you friends what they use.
Hope that helps!
