no that means talk. push the red button mostly u have to hold the off button or look for a place that has a little red circle and a little line in it, kinda on the top of it goin into the circle. ( most of the time its on the off button)

The other colored button, red, is the on off switch. Push it for on and then push it again for off.

some have a switch on top that you have to hold down to get it to go on. some you have to hold the red end call button down. some it's the # sign.
You do have to hold it down until you're phone comes on.
