Once you change your password, no one will be able to access your account. So, make the change as soon as you can and your friend will be OK.

There are only 2 rules to follow for effective passwords:

1) Make it hard to guess. Mixed numbers and letters are best, the more the better. Your name, your dogs name, any word in the dictionary, any birthday, or your school gym locker combination are all bad.

2) Don't tell it to anybody, or type it in front of anybody.

I can't believe so many people have trouble keeping their passwords away from their "friends". I won't even tell my wife my password. And I don't ask her for hers.

The way to protect a password is to make and use a very strong password. Programs like Brute Force can crack easy passwords quickly. This Kim Komando site explains how to make a very strong password and then make slight modifications to use it for other sites etc.

Just open his yahoo account and change the password! He is either giving it out to someone or someone else uses his PC and has a keylogger or password sniffer installed on it! If he uses another PC to log on to yahoo, someone could have this software installed on it also!
