Condoms are more likely to break if they're not the right size for your partner. They should test out different fits if they are unsure. Condoms are meant to be durable but still have a chance of breaking for obvious reasons. Also, condoms have experation dates on the packages. Make sure you don't use it after the experation dates. They can be less effective as far as durability goes.
If the condom breaks after a man has ejaculated or there is sperm in the pre-***, here is where you are possible to get pregnant.

You seem to have a lot of questions regarding sex and getting pregnant. The truth is there's nothing that can completely stop your risk of getting pregnant w/out getting your tubes tied or a man getting a vasectomy(sp?). Sexual intercourse always brings a chance of pregnancy. There's no birth control that is 100% effective.

There are possiblities that condoms break. Protect yourself should be your priority and be on the birth control pills. If you are under the age of 18 then go to a pregnancy clinic and they'll give them to you for free and condoms too. I also know a few women who got pregnant when they were on the patch so becareful.

The most common cause of pregnancy when using a condom is caused by the condom breaking during sex.
The second most common cause is because the condom wasn't put on soon enough. Pre-c*m contains thousands of sperm, so you can get pregnant by fooling around with penetration before putting a condom on.

One of my friends is now pregant because of that. Used correctly, a condom is the most effective form of contraception beyond not having sex. Put it on as soon as you get hard!
