Does anybody know if a person must continue to pay child support on a child after they turn 18 AND finish high school. There is nothing stated in the divorce papers.

TENNESSEE ONLY PLEASE - other state laws will not help me.

It is until the child turns 18, unless you have a special clause in your divorce papers about college. I live in Tennessee and had to call Juvenile Court and write them to get them to stop taking child support from my ex-husband when my son turned 18. It took months and I sent the money back to him and his family. Sometimes the people in government trying to help us, sometimes fall very short of perfect.

That is a complaint for the residents of New York to take up with their mayor and elected officials. If you don't live there, not a dime of your tax dollars are involved. Congress has nothing to say about how a city allocates and spends their budget. So your assertion that "our tax dollars" are involved is pure equus ferus caballus fecal matter. And perhaps they need the extra protection because of all the crazed Liberals and Democrats who are threatening to destroy the station. Particularly that criminal element masquerading as a social movement over near Wall Street. Who knows what those crazy loons might do. And the city is spending far more on them then they are on protecting Fox News studios. How many jobs has the OWS crowd created that contributed taxes to the city of New York?

you are 18 now, still in school, then yes you still can get child support while you are full time student in the state of tn, and also in college, and medical bills, but if 18 having sex, you can be dropped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
From experience, one pregnacny test, and proven fact you have a sexual history, state of tn, can drop the child support for those 18 and still in school, and college.

It used to be that you had to pay until they were eighteen or as long as they were in school up to 20. But that was several years ago.
