not at all!!! in the fact that if the same sex where to marry then where should we stop?!?!?! should a cow and a man be married just to the fact that they "love each other?" not to mention that marriage between a MAN and a WOMEN is one of the most beautiful GOD given gifts. for some people to get jelous of thier small and unpresidented culture and want to ruin that beautiful gift that our fathers and your father did, is to just simply spit on the history of anything our founding fathers tried to create

Gay people already get married, by the church, in the eyes of God, despite the objections of some other Christians, and regardless of the legal rights (or lack of them) afforded. Metropolitan Community Churches have been doing these weddings for over 30 years!

If they want to! My partner asks me all the time. My trouble is that I have been married before and it sucked! Got two great kids out of it though! I am now very happy in my same sex relationship and i really don't need a ceremony to prove that I love her and want to be total partners. The tax deduction would be nice! To me it feels just the same as the happy early years of my marriage, regardless of the ceremony part or piece of paper that says were married.

Yes, they should b allowed 2 marry b/c they are ppl 2 and should have the same rights as NE1 else. If 2 ppl luv each other, then that's all that matters. I don't c what the big deal is.

Gays should not be allowed to marry because of bible reasons. I don't think it allows same sex marriages but i could be wrong. Its just not right, many other people are not for it and for good reason. Enough said.

yes gays should be allowed to marry because if theyre american they have right to freedom of expression (marriage is a example of freedom of expression isnt it?). i dont know about gays in other countries. if ellen degeneres and portia di rossi want to get married then they should be allowed without persecution of others. same goes for seigfried and roy and etc.

thats my opinion and im sticking it to it, even if my girlfriend is hoping that i convert to her hardcore, christian values

Yes, 100% in agreement with this. It is nobody else's business who one loves.

I know religious people will disagree (based on "sanctity of marriage"), but the divorce rate amongst evangelical Christian couples is very high (even Rev. Jim & Tammy Faye Bakker are divorced) ... so, what sanctity are they talking about?

See below.

marriage is not a RELIGIOUS matter - i got married to my husband (in vancouver, canada) because of the RIGHTS that we deserve as humans.

you people that talk of cross-species marriage - GROW UP. humans are allowed to love, and the goverment has a duty to respect that love.

To have a church wedding or sacrament of matrimony would be unappropriate. However, i do believe that they be given rights to legal partnership as a married couple.
