you know what would look pretty cool?
a light purple (or violet, whatever the heck you want to call it) shirt, and like a metallicy silver or purple tie.

Any colour, but the important point to remember is to let the shirt echo the tie not the other way around. eg. light pink shirt with a red tie that has a matching pink line through it; a light yellow shirt with a yellow and red paysley tie; it creates even more dramatis if you add a matching dress handkerchief.

Crisp white shirt with a a solid-color blood-red tie = power
Black shirt with solid color blood-red tie = sexy
Deep purple shirt with dark gold tie = gigolo
Burnt orange shirt with gray tie = fun

Try a baby blue button down and a grey (diagonal) striped tie.
Don't forget the baby blue pocket square for your breast pocket.
