Liam and Noel Gallagher couldn't stand to be in the same room with each other, much less continue to make music together. A shame, really. I thought they were great!

They broke up on August 2009 after a dispute between Noel and Liam Gallagher resulting in Liam breaking one of Noel's guitars (Probably one of his Gibson ES-355 models). This was the final line-up:

Official members:
Liam Gallagher-Vocals, Tambourines, Acoustic Guitar (1991-2009)
Noel Gallagher-Vocals, Lead and Rhythm Guitar (1991-2009)
Gem Archer-Rhythm and occasional Lead Guitar (1999-2009)
Andy Bell-Bass and Rhythm Guitar (1999-2009)

Touring Members:
Chris Sharrock-Drums (2008-2009)
Jay Darlington-Piano, Keyboards (2002-2009)

After the break up, Liam, Gem, Andy, and Chris formed Beady Eye in late 2009 and recruited Jeff Wooton as their touring bassist in 2010. They released their debut album "Different Gear, Still Speeding" in 2011 and "BE" in 2013. later that year Jeff left and was replaced by Jay Mehler, who became the band's official bassist.

In 2010, Noel formed Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and released the debut album of the same name in 2011. Noel is currently recording demos for a new album.

Hopefully, Oasis will reunite some day.

The same thing that happens to all pop bands. They're talentless hacks to begin with, sooner or later, the glam wears off and people realize they suck, and then they end up on "Where Are They Now?" on VH1.

the gallagher brothers have gigantic egos, especially liam and he was a huge pain in the *** and the rest of the band didn't want to deal with him. they were being called the next beatles and it went to their head and liam got friggin wasted all the time, believing his own press.
