Nope, they've said it themselves, that they find their album to be very similar to Queen's "A Night At The Opera"
So obviously, they were trying to do that.

DEFINITELY NOT. My friend and I noticed, even my mom when she called to talk. The guitar action you hear in that part towards the end (Do or die)is a total Brian May moment.

I'm not too big of an MCR fan, but I like this song because they remind me of Queen. I love Queen.

Yep, I agree with you. The first time I heard it, I heard a Queen influence. I actually stated that it sounded like a modern day "Bohemian Rhapsody."

I seem them similar to Styx with their song "Come Sail Away"
both songs have the same style(except during the short techno instrumental part!gosh why they put that in there?!)
