According to the book I use to make birth charts, A retrograde is the following ... I quote.
Retrograde: The apparent backward motion of a planet traveling through the zodiac. (The sun and the moon are never retrograde.)
In reality, planets in our solar system do not move move backward in their orbits; they only seem to do so because of the angle of observation here on earth. Retorgrade motion is an illusion simular to looking through the window of a moving train at a second train that is traveling alongside it but moving more slowly. The slower moving train will seem to be traveling baclward, although in fact it is traveling forward. In classical astrology a retrograde planet planet was considered weak and as having a negative influence. Modern astrologers consider retrograde planets in a chart to be positive but having an influence that does not manifest itself until later in life.

From reading that, it sounds like I must have been the Godfather in my last life. All this time I've been wondering why I have those dreams about decapitated horse's heads. Just kidding... but Neptune and Pluto could be true in my case. I have memories which have to be coming from somewhere other than my existence here and now. I have mixed feelings on reincarnation, and sometimes I wonder about genetic memories and if those would tie in with astrological aspects and placements. I've tried for so many years to come up with a logical explanation for where those memories originate, and haven't found any reasons. The only thing that doesn't ring true for me is the Saturn retrograde description. Ambition has been a strong desire in me since I was in grade school, and other than family and love, it's a big part of what keeps me going. I think the bottom line is if these definitions are true, then it would be equally true that the aspects to them will enhance either favorably or unfavorably. Thanks for sharing these definitions.

The sun and moon are always forward. Dragons head is always backward movement. That leaves five planets in retrograde motion making the chart very strong.

it means for some of your planets, you may have some setbacks and hinderances in their natural expression. Six retrogrades is A LOT of retrogrades, you may have had a hard life.
For instance, my Jupiter in Aries is retrograde, which means that I have bad luck, considering Jupiter is the planet of luck

If a planet is retrograde, it means its travelling "backward," in the opposite direction of its normal path.
For example, if Mercury (the planet of communication) is retrograde, we can expect obstacles in communications, such as internet down, etc.
