Lately there have been a number of E. coli outbreaks- and the latest one was associated with Taco Bell and the green onions they serve with some of their food. When I checked up on them this morning, I read that they were changing suppliers until everything was back under control.

There, lol. Basically, there was this food outbreak, not just from Taco Bell. It started with spinach, which was irrigated with water contaminated with cattle feces. Then lettuce got contaminated, and finally the green onions at Taco Bell. Two of the five had developed hemolytic uremic syndrome which can be fatal or cause kidney damage (from Taco Bell).

Others have died due to the outbreak.

Last I read, a few dozen people in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania got sick, and it was traced to Taco Bell, more specifically E. coli in scallions from California.

There was apparently a few outbreaks of e.coil because of Taco Bell's scallions/green onions.

You should try it...it's good. Obviously not as good as making tacos and stuff at home, or at a real mexican restaurant, but definitely 2nd best...my opinion of course.

e. coli was found on their green onions and they had to close down some of the stores that might have had the bad onions.
