Ear Doctors are Medical Doctors. To become an MD, you have to go to college for four years, go to medical school for four years, then spend at least three years as a resident and intern.

Nutrition Doctors are not MDs, they are PhDs. This is a research degree. To get a PhD, you have to go to college for four years, then go to graduate school where you spend two to three years taking classes, pass a preliminary written exam, pass a preliminary oral exam, write a doctoral dissertation and defend it. The entire process takes between four and seven years after getting a BS.

ok...it depends where u live..I am in canada but i believe that it is the same thing for the state or wherever you are. After high school, you have to do 2 years in college or preparation for university on the field you want to get in. After you 've graduate or done that, you will have to do 4 years in medecine. You will then have a diploma and will be able to work. To be in nutrition or ear doctor, it is a specialization. Thus you will have to do 2 years more...not to sure. Soo add up...8 years it might take longer depending on the number of courses you take per semester. But don't try to take too much because you want good grades. I wish you good luck. To be a doctor, you need some hardwork and patience.
