I really think it must have been sometime in its history. Maybe it was fun to be a hippie.

It seems lately the left is preachy, self-righteous, and sour. What happened?

Really! It used to look so fun! I never knew they could be more judgmental than my Sunday School teacher, but they are.

Preachy, self-righteous and sour? You listened to the religoious right lately? Or Rush Limbaugh attacking Michael J. Fox or the bipartisan Iraq Study Group?

People on either side who are pushing a political belief tend to come across as preachy -- people who don;t care much about things other than enjoying themselves come across as fun, but tend to be awfully selfish. People of any politics can end up preachy, but also people of any politics can end up with a decent mix of fun and concern in their lives.

I couldn't tell you. I gave up on liberals when they began spitting on returning Viet Nam Vets. I'm very lucky in that it didn't happen to me when I came back, or I should say someone was very lucky because I wasn't the calm peacible guy that I am now when I got back.

You obviously understand nothing about liberalism. I hope that didn't sound too preachy, self-righteous, or sour.

Back in the '60s and '70s, they might of been, but lately,
they have been brainwashed by all of these communist
