If you are using the a US phone with International roaming service in the Philippines, you can just dial the number but it depends on your service provider. If you are using a phone from the Philippines with Philippine simcard, just send you message to 1 then area code plus the number.

Yes, no problems to most places, I text home to UK from the far east every day. You cannot, as far as I know, text too or from Japan, their phones use e-mail. Maybe someone will say you can, but I`ve never found a way.

all the previous posts were correct - depending on how your phone and mobile service works you'll need to add 001/01/+1 as the prefix to the mobile number.

An alternative is to download the messaging client of www.chikka.com - allows you to send texts from your computer to most mobile phone services in the US.

Easy! First you MUST have a cellphone and is capable of sending text messages. Second, type in your message and then hit send.

For more information, consult your manual or your service provider.
