Multiply both sides by 2 to cancel out the 1/2, and divide both sides by h to cancel that out.

So (2A)/h = b

A = 1/2bh

So you need to multiply both sides by 2/1, the reciprocal of 1/2. You get:

2A = bh

Then, divide both sides by h, leaving you with your answer:

2A/h = b
b = 2A/h

Good luck! =]

;b this means you need to get b by itself. all you have to do is divide watch
a=1/2bh
a/h=1/2b
a/h/1/2=b
a divided by h, divided by 1/2 equals b
hope this helps

area = 1/2 base x height?
divide both sides by h.
a/h=1/2b
then, multiply both sides by 2.
2a/h=1b (or just b)
so b= 2a/h
