I get your point, but do not agree compleatly. Gymnastics should be offered as a sport at schools (both recreational and competitive) but it should not be mandatory. Kids should have free choice of how they exercise and stay in shape. Weather it be football, basketball, swimming, gymnastics, etc. as long as they are grtting exercise and staying healthy!

Gymnastics involves a lot of injury, which would be expensive.
Providing a mix of cardio and yoga and weights in a class where the kids are required to participate a little in each, but allowed to pick a favorite would be good. People need to learn to make their own health choices. We can't expect someone to set a general exercise model that can be applied to everyone. People have different needs.
Getting better food for their in-school meal and not allowing junk food or soda would be a better step.

Actually a traditional artistic gymnastics class will not keep childrn from gaining weight. Gymnastics is mainly an anaerobic activity with quick bursts of energy and a lot of downtime. An aerobic actiity such as soccer, basketball, etc would also be needed in order to add the cardio element in. Most gymnasts do endurance/cardio training in addition to their gymnastics to maintain their weight.

i'm agnostic and that i believe in spirituality. although as much as i might like for there to be a required comparative faith direction, i could be very careful of this type of direction. the probability of an impartial professor/instructor isn't likely. to no longer point out, which religions might study? might or no longer it incredibly is purely Western religions? or might or no longer it incredibly is a stability of jap religions? How long ought to the direction be? there are a super type of religions available that one semester or maybe an entire 12 months does no longer have the flexibility to grant sufficient advice. collectively as maximum comparative faith courses conceal the "super 3" (Christianity, Islam, and Judaism) it thoroughly ignores the jap religions. to no longer point out might this type of direction additionally incorporate non-religious teachings that contain ethical habit to boot (like Confuscius or Taoism)?

It is in most schools. In my school district, the elementary schools have two recesses a day, and one hour of P.E a week. In the middle schools, you have to have P.E everyday, and we get free outdoor time at lunch, and we can play if we want. The highschools require two years of P.E.

I agree. Recent studies are finding that children behave better and are more studious after taking a gym or recess break.
