Just your first trimester, usually, so hang in there a few more weeks. It helps to drink plenty of water and nibble frequently on crackers or pretzels. Eat smaller meals more often, and take your prenatals with food.
Some women are sick the entire pregnancy, but that is very rare.

Congrats and feel better!

With my first pregnancy the sickness went away at around 17 weeks.

With my second pregnancy I was sick the whole time. When I went into labor I was 15 pounds lighter than when I got pregnant.

I am 29 weeks with my third and I just stopped getting sick a few weeks ago.

It is different with every pregnancy but as a general rule the doctor says that it usually gets better after the 16th week.

hello there,
Key points about nausea and vomiting in early pregnancy
It's normal to feel sick to the stomach and throw up during the first few months of pregnancy. Most pregnant women do.
Nausea and vomiting won't usually harm you or your unborn baby.
If you feel sick to your stomach and throw up when you're pregnant, you are less likely to have a miscarriage than if you don't feel like this
You may feel sick to your stomach at any time of the day, not just in the mornings.
About 1 in 200 pregnant women have severe nausea and vomiting that can be dangerous to their health and their baby's health. Doctors call this condition hyperemesis gravidarum.
Nausea and vomiting usually stop after about 12 weeks of pregnancy. But 1 in 10 pregnant women still have morning sickness after 20 weeks.
Doctors don't know why some women feel sick to the stomach and throw up during pregnancy and others feel fine. They also don't know why one pregnant woman has only mild nausea while another vomits several times a day for many months. However, certain risk factors — such as being pregnant with twins, previous pregnancies with morning sickness, and suffering from migraine headaches — may increase your chances of morning sickness.

Morning sickness can make you feel miserable, but there are both natural remedies and medications you can try. We encourage you to read our entire condition report and to consult with your doctor to learn more about morning sickness. I was sick for 5 months straight. It is different for all women. I was prescribed soo many meds to help with my sickness but it didn't help. Hopefully it will end for you soon. Usually around 3 months it should stop slowing down. These are some things that helped me with my sickness. Mints/hard candy, such as jolly ranchers, I ate those ALL the time and it helped with the naseua a lot. Saltines or any crackers with peanut butter on them. Eating something with peanutbutter in it/on it before you go to bed at night. Drink gingerale :) These thigns really helped me feel better. Goodluck

for some women it only last the first few days, for others up to the 3rd month and for others the whole 9 months. What u can do is try eating some crackers throughout the day and lots of liquids and bread, it hekps with the sicky feeling. Mine lasted to i was 3 months then it stopped. Congrats!!!! good luck

It should pass after your 1st trimester. The 2nd trimester is called the golden trimester because everything is better. I am 17 weeks and never got sick, I think it is different with all pregnancies. I hope so bad that you get to feeling better and SOON! Congrats on the baby!

It usually tends to slow down or stop around 13 weeks. I always kept a pack of Saltines by my bed and had a few before getting up in the morning. I didn't drink anything with my meal, I waited til after I was done and in small amounts. If it gets to horrible to stand your Dr. can prescribe you medicine for it. Congrats and Good luck.

most women only have morning (or noon & night!) sickness for the first trimester before it subsides, but a few unlucky ones feel sick longer, or even for the entire pregnancy. all situations are considered pretty normal, but you should talk to your OB about it if it sticks around, just in case.
