I was told that for xmas I could have either a 360 or a Nintendo Wii, and I chose the 360.
The thing is, I don't have an HDTV. I'll be playing it on a 20" flat screen with component video inputs (not too shabby but certainly not HD, I don't have that kind of money). However, I do have a surround sound system capable of 5.1. Is a 360 worth $400 if you can't see it in HD?

hell yes! The xbox 360 is the best console out right now. Their are alot of reasons.
1. The price 300 + dollars for the xbox. insted of 600+ dollars like with the playstation3.
2. Games, xbox has been out for a year and has had plenty of time to come out with great titles.GEARS OF WAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3. Who cares about blue ray. unless you have a highdeff t.v. it dosent matter.
4. The ability to play on line and unlock hidden stuff in your games is awsome.
5.playstation3 only has one really good game RESISTANCE FALL OF MAN.
6. YOU CAN ACTUALLY GET A 360 WITHOUT PAYING 1500 DALLORS ON EBAY.

I would say so, I mean, it has a good game out 'now' for every type of gameplay. Gears of War, F.E.A.R, Oblivion, Perfect Dark, Call of Duty 2 and 3, Condemned, etc. Not to mention a great collection of arcade games and trial demos for xbox live marketplace. It's a tried and true product, while the Wii and Ps3, will end of being great, they both might start out slow since they are both ni their 1st generation while the 360 is in their 2nd.

With certain games it's not worth it like DEAD RISING the words come out so small and I have a 19 inch but with all the other games where you don't have to read becuase the characters talks it's totally worth it the graphics are great no matter what kind of T.V. it's on.

It won't be in HD, but since you have the sound hook up you will be fine, and with component you can play in 480p so thats a little better than most tvs. So yeah it's still good especialy if you have Live.

I have one and the Graphics are awesome it is sure as heck worth it.

DEFINETLY GET 360 AND NOT WII OR PS3
