Ever been to a concert at the Val Air Ballroom in West Des Moines?

i'm going to see a couple of concerts there soon, and i was wondering what the atmosphere there is like? lots of moshing? how bad is the crowd in the front (cuz i'd like to be up there)?

I went to a concert there last year. The atmosphere is a bit strange because it is big floor and all one level. It feels like you are at a roller skating rink especially with the large disco ball in the middle of it. The concert I went to there wasn't a ton of moshing. But the band I saw still were sweet and put on a great show!
