I am a fairly new member to YA(Yahoo Answers)....Why must the Republicans bash the Democrats and vice versa???

And one more thing: Why do the republicans always slate(IMO) democrats as Liberals??? I am a moderate democrat.

Liberal is a term not showwing of a political party but what your standing agenda is..there are liberal/modern repubilcans, right?? The same hold for conservative. Cant we all just be political without all the bashing.

I have my policital stance you have yours. Why the Bashing???

Welcome. I use the term liberal to mean liberal. Some Republicans are liberal. Some Democrats are conservative.

I actually agree more of the time with conservative Democrats than I do liberal Republicans.

The bashing is the status quo. If you're careful, you can avoid it.

It's called blind ignorance. People have it on both sides. I'll answer a question truthfully, and then I'll get hate mail. People don't want to hear the inaqequecies of their respective parties, so they resort to childishness. It's really quite pathetic. When they're so partisan that they won't even accept common facts, then they're beyond hopeless.

You should just stay away from the questions. They want a reaction and nothing irks them more than not getting a response. I've seen someone ask the same ridiculous partisan question 7 times before they got a response. There's something inside them that begs for attention.

I will say sometimes if you're looking for a good time, just play along. Answer their ridiculous question with an equally ridiculous answer.

Because it's fun sometimes. I try not to do too much bashing, I just give my honest opinion. Really some questions are so far out there, I just can't resist.

I do realize politics are a very serious matter, and should be taken seriously. I do sometimes answer with sarcasm. It depends on my mood at the time.

I'm Canadian and I really actually quite enjoy the bashing. I'm not really on anyone's side unless they ask a really ignorant question. American politics are so much more interesting than Canadian. I've been on here long enough to note the Alex PHd asks some pretty thought provoking questions and John probably could but he strikes me as an angry guy.

If the parties start getting along what fun would that be?

Something fishy must be going on here.
In general, Republicans are conservative & Democrats are liberal. Moderates are endangered species.
My theory is that bashing on this board is just a way to vent anonamously.

This is the yahoo answers (politics) shock. Its like getting in a really cold pool for the first time. You get offended by all the infighting but soon you fall in line and begin the bashing yourself.
