Assume that 20 % of the population belongs to the low income level, 60% belong to the mid range income level, and 20 % belong to the high income level. Suppose a voter is selected at random.

What is the probability that a voter belongs to the high income level, given that the voter intends the vote for this candidate?

just to clarify:
the percents intending to vote for the candiate by income level
low: 80%
midrange: 45%
High: 40%

The answer is .157 or 15.7%, I just don't know how to get that.

It makes sense that it is 40% as they don't vote anymore than the other groups do and so many people do not vote at all.☺
