I am soon to be a grandmother for the 1st time. What are some names for baby to call me?

They seem to pick their own names for us, I have 6 grand kids and 2 greats and am called Me Ma ,Me Maw, Nana, Gram, Grammie and just plain grandma.By the way congrats you are about to have the best that life can offer.

Our kids calls my mother Nana .they picked that out there selves .At frist she wanted to be called grandmother . But when our son said nana the hook was on so for 6 years it has been nana . I beleave kids picks the name out . Have Fun God Bless

MA...it's what my kids call my mom, but the best I've heard is "Sugar Mama"...sounds weird, but the little girl who does this is adorable with her grandma!
Congratulations! I've heard that being a grandparent far exceeds the joys of being a parent :)

My kids call my mother "Me-Me" and they call my hubby's mom "Nana". It just seems to be what the kids decided on their own. Whatever you decide, congrats! Babies are soooooooo fun. And with grandkids, you can spoil them and send them home!

you know..we have names that we'd like the child to call us but by the time she/he gets to talking,,the word "grandma" sounds like a language all its own.my 2nd to the youngest g.child started out with " me-maw" then it went to " am-ma" now she says " gamma" and she's 3,,her brother( 1) hasn't attempted the word yet so I'm anxious to see his version of it. all the rest call me " gramma"......i left up to what they wanted to call me,,i have 10......but I've always liked " Nana".......
