I agree with Richie about Austin.... it's fairly liberal and more expensive than the rest of Texas..... so why did he say to live there?

Best city to live in Texas is San Antonio. It still feels like a small town, but has the big town stuff. Costs less too. Tim Duncan and the SPURS are here (that's the Texas pro team where the players DON'T get arrested every week) We've got Sea World, Fiesta Texas (a six flags), GREAT golfing at reasonable prices, and don't forget the Alamo .... I mean "Remember the Alamo".

Just about anyplace along the I-35 corridor are nice, especially just north of Austin till you get to San Antonio. Also Dallas.

It depends on you really.
For me it would be Austin. Althought it's where the state's government is... It's fun! Fairly liberal, lots of music, young people (University of Texas), vibrant economy and walker friendly.

It's a bit hot in the summer and real state can be pretty expensive in comparison with the rest of texas, which is CHEAP!
