there are only a couple of trains to Mysore from Mumbai. however these trains do not run every day there is Sharavati express and Ajmer Mysore express. follow the link below for the details. you can also choose to take a bus which takes less than 24 hrs to reach. Another option is to go to Bangalore by bus or train and then take a bus to Mysore as it is hardly 3 hrs from Bangalore city railway station.

I suggest u take train to Blore (so many trains.Refer to indianrail.gov.in or irctc.co.in ).

From Blore there are lots of trains to Mysore including Shatabdi & buses which are like every 5 mins.There is also good volvo bus service to Mysore fm Blore that runs about every 1 hr.

Note:The bus station is 5 mins walkable distance from Railway station if u decide to take bus.

To Mysore directly there is only 1 train that runs only once a week (Sharavati).I suggest not to take this train.

From Blore to Mys the distance is about 140Kms & it takes about 3 hrs max.The road condition is excellent(4 lane highway all the way) & train takes about 2 to 2.5 hrs

There is one train which goes to Mysore direectly from mumbai. Its name is Sharavati Express (1035) It is once in a week leves mumbai on Tues day
