Does it?

Here's a shot -- literature originally was oral rather than written, and in the creation, performance and transmission of complicated oral works, the teller would employ the rhythmic devices of poetry to facilitate memorization, and because it would be easier to listen to intently if poetry. Many of these long oral narratives would be performed by something akin to singing or incantation.

In addition, it may be that literature arose from religious rites, in which the shaman or priest or participants would incant sacred texts, which would be rhythmic poetry.

Does all literature not start from poetry? What do you think poetry is? Poetry is transmitting stories in a lyrical form, and before most people knew how to read and write, that was exactly the way stories were presented -- as songs. And songs are poetry set to music. Or they were presented by story-tellers, an oral presentation that depended very highly upon its poetic content.
Think of some of the nursery rhymes and children's stories, which have lasted far longer than most of the adult literature from a comparable period. Think about the three little pigs. Isn't the wolf's repeated threat of , "I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down." Can you imagine a storyteller repeating that line, to rapt audience, complete with the hamiest voice and scariest gestures possible. Would you call The Three Little Pigs literature? Probably not. But it is, and it is also poetry.
So -- what seems like a stupid question at first glance, on careful examination turns out to be a valid concept.

Most literature actually does spring from poetry. The first literature humanity had was oral tradition, which was handed down in poetic forms or song. Having a specific meter, like poetry often does, helps to jog the memory. Rhyming came fairly early to poetry because it too helped remind the 'singer' or keeper of the tribal lore what came next.

I guess such a claim first requires you to define what you mean by 'poetry.' Of course all poetry _is_ literature, but all literature is not poetry. Much of it is prose. You could make the argument that all literature contains certain poetic elements (imagery, tropes, other poetic techniques such as attention to rhythm) and must be as carefully crafted as poetry. But I'm not sure you could argue that all writers of novels, for example, must literally sit down and write a finished poem before they are able to begin work on their story.

On the other hand, if you consider pages of word jumbles and notes 'poetry' (but I'm not sure you could), then certainly every writer in the world creates poetry (word jumbles and notes) in the process of writing.

It could be just the other way around.Literature treads on tangible path and narration takes a different route. In syntax and style and in forms, prose takes its own position. Poetry is more ethereal and effervescent, although it may be regarded as a tender offshoot of literature. In poetry expressions are implicit and not as tangible as in other forms of literature. Poetry is evocative and it stretches the imagination of the reader more than anything other forms of literature.

I heavily have confidence a number of his supporters do not see the placement of many on the exterior because of the fact they romanticize approximately American being a Socialist government. it may well be a utopia for them.
