I generally feel like I was run over by an 18 wheeler in my sleep most mornings, and often sleep through the alarm clock. Any suggestions from fellow night owls?

So far so good, though the last thing I feel like in the morning is sex - and my boyfriend is hot... He doesn't even ask anymore - he just makes me coffee and avoids me... Luckily, I make up for it with being an actual human later in the day.

I agree with others who said to get a good nights sleep and regular schedule. I always had a hard time getting out of bed until I started using a light timer that slowly increases the brightness to simulate a sunrise. After using the light for a few months, I always wake up right on time (unless I'm sick or something). Search for "dawn simulator" for more info

well this is more of an issue you that you are not getting enough sleep! The idea is that you should wake up feeling pretty good (or at least good within a min. or two. Things you have to look at are.....do you have a crappy bed? Are you going to bed early enough? are you getting enough exercise? If not these are things you want to work on a bit. If you are doing all of that and still feel like crap, then personally I would chat with your Dr.

I of course would rather just sleep until I wake up naturally, but such is life :)

With a smile and a cup of coffee. No really keeping to a strict schedule must be important because I had to get up every morning for 34 years at 4 a.m. and to this day I can't sleep in!

when u can wake up and open your eyes, and move about by yourself that is the best thing to look forward too. just remember some people never get to see the next day. when i open my eyes i am grateful be able able to see, then when i get out of the bed, i am grateful to be able to walk to the bathroom all by myself. that's what gets me goin in the morning !!!!!! live life to the fullest, cause it is not promised to anyone, ANYONE.and fyi, sometimes when i do wake up i do feel like i have been run over by a mac truck, but think of it this way, i am not gonna let that sucker get the best of me, no sir!!!!! lol another tip, think of something funny, or something that will make u smile, Forrest gump. live is like a box of chocolates!!!!! enjoy

The best way to fix this is to get a good night's sleep. Go to bed earlier than you normally do, and be wary of drinking caffiene, because its effects last up to ten hours.

Stretch and was your face. I find myself getting out of bed easier when I just throw myself off the bed. Splashing some cool water on your face helps a lot.
